What Do I Treat?

So what do I treat?  The answer is just about anything and consequently the list of problems that are amenable to hypnotherapy is too long and varied to catalogue in full here.  The six most common reasons people seek out hypnotherapy are:

  • smoking cessation
  • weight management
  • confidence
  • anxiety
  • panic attacks
  • depression

This is a more comprehensive list but by no means exhaustive:

  • Addictions and Habits
  • Alcohol Reduction
  • Anger Management
  • Asthma
  • Anxiety, Stress and Panic Attacks
  • Blood Pressure
  • Blushing
  • Children’s Problems
  • Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and M.E.
  • Confidence, Motivation and Self Esteem
  • Dental Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Driving Fears/Driving Test
  • Eating Disorders
  • Exam Nerves and Academic Problems
  • Goal Achievement
  • Grief
  • Infertility/Fertility
  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
  • Pain Management
  • Past Life Regression (PLR)
  • Phobias and Fears
  • Relationship Problems
  • Performance Anxiety
  • Performance Enhancement
  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Public Speaking
  • Skin Problems
  • Sleeping Problems
  • Stammering
  • Social Phobias
  • Stress
  • Weight management

If you cannot find what you are looking for on this list then get in touch and discuss the matter with me and I will tell you whether hypnotherapy would be helpful. Hypnotherapy in some issues can be an excellent stand-alone therapy and in others it can be a highly beneficial adjunct to medical treatment.

I would also emphasise that there are instances in which hypnotherapy may be contraindicated.  These could include epilepsy, psychosis (eg schizophrenia) and some manifestations of depressive illness.  If in doubt you should always consult your medical advisor.
