Brenda Thomson Meek DipMusEd (RSAMD), DRSAM (Performers), CertEd, DCH, DHP, MCH, ADPR.
Based in Epsom Downs, Surrey, I am a fully qualified clinical hypnotherapist with a Diploma In Clinical Hypnotherapy (DCH), a Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy (DHP) and Master Clinical Hypnotherapist (MCH). I trained with the prestigious Institute of Clinical Hypnosis in London with one of the country’s top hypnotherapists, Nicola Martin. The ICH is recognised as one of the UK’s foremost training colleges for clinical hypnotherapists and provides the highest quality of both practical and academic tuition.
I am also a qualified EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and Matrix Reimprinting Practitioner, and a Facilitator of PSYCH-K. I then expanded my training into modern energy and shamanic healing practices working with a variety of teachers over the years so that I also offer House Whispering (ie Space Clearing and Home Healing), Shamanic Healing and Sound Healing.
Born in Glasgow and brought up in a large medical clan, instead of following in the family footsteps I was more attracted by the Arts and so trained initially as a classical singer and certified teacher. I then spent many years working in the performing and teaching professions and also became a wife and mother, all of which makes me well-placed to engage with clients to resolve their work, life, health or performance issues.
I run a practice in Epsom Downs, Surrey but currently work mainly online, and also having offered a selection of workshops and talks on various topics over the years preparations are underway to offer these online as well. I continue to allocate some of my time to teaching singing on a one to one basis sometimes in conjunction with hypnosis and my other interests are gardening, reading, yoga, meditation and public speaking skills (I was for some time a member of Epsom Speakers' Club).
In my practice I adhere to a Code of Professional Ethics and all sessions are strictly confidential. I am fully insured, and am registered with the General Hypnotherapy Register who have awarded me Advanced Practitioner Status (ADPR). I am also a member of the Incorporated Society Of Musicians (ISM) and The Royal Society of Musicians.
